As a pivotal member of the team, the Service Manager will work closely with the Associate Director of Performance and senior management team.

HDFT’s private patient service is a rapidly changing environment, currently working on rebuilding a robust service for private patients. The role of the Service Manager has been created for a highly experienced, capable, motivated and process driven individual to join the Private patient and Overseas Visitors team.

As a pivotal member of the team, the Service Manager will work closely with the Associate Director of Performance and senior management team. The post holder will be key in contributing to the strategic direction of the unit. The Service Manager will support Private patient business development, sales and marketing, supporting in all aspects of the operational, administrative and project management of the relevant private patient’s services and teams across outpatients, inpatients and imaging including service delivery, service improvement and programme management across the site.

  • To line manage the administrative team within the private patients service covering outpatients, inpatients and working with imaging administration teams including recruitment, retention and performance management across the service.
  • Deliver appraisal and mandatory training requirements for all staff within the team
  • To ensure that all of the trust’s clinical governance requirements and regulations are understood, consistently applied and adhered to by all subordinate team members and that performance reports are produced to enable divisional compliance.
  • To support the Systems Manager ensuring that; all of the trust’s information governance requirements and regulations as well as all PHIN and GDPR requirements are understood, consistently applied and adhered to by all subordinate team members and that performance reports are produced to enable divisional compliance
  • To be responsible for financial performance relating to delegated budgets and operational performance of the service and subordinate teams and team members
  • To work with the Associate Director of Performance and Senior management team on delivering the financial, service quality, growth and performance targets of the service
