I have a fantastic opportunity for a Children's Support Worker to join an organisation in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex - supporting children between the ages of 12 to 16 who have experienced Childhood Trauma, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Challenging Behaviour.

The home is beautiful, with an extremely welcoming environment and a real sense of togetherness towards the care of the young people.

You must be committed and passionate, engaging, and devoted to encouraging and mentoring the children - whilst having loads of fun along the way!


Salary:
£25,000 - £26,000


Location:
Brighton & Hove, East Sussex


Contract:
Permanent


Hours:
Full time - 40 hours per week plus sleep ins (rolling rota pattern)

Responsibilities;


  • Encouraging young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age.
  • Dealing with challenging behaviours when needed.
  • Ensuring to help the children with their emotional, physical and developmental needs.
  • Display yourself as an appropriate role model
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, empathy and resilience
  • Encourage positive life experiences for the children
  • Assisting the children to attend School and other scheduled appointments


Requirements;


  • Experience in a residential children's home environment is DESIRABLE
  • Experience from within the health & social care sector is DESIRABLE
  • Full Driving Licence is DESIRABLE as you may be required to transport the children from time to time
