St Luke's Hospice has a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our clinical team on a full or part-time basis to help us provide the highest quality of care to our patients. The role is based at Basildon Hospice however you will need to work in the community.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide expert advice related to specific conditions or treatment pathways, conduct research and implement new changes that can enhance the patients' health quality. You will be responsible for prescribing medication, assessing, diagnosing and managing patient problems, providing education and supportive counselling to the patients' and families.

  • Assessing the health needs of patients, families and carers
  • Providing expert advice related to specific conditions
  • Providing education to other health professionals and carers
  • Conducting research to improve health outcomes
  • Implementing changes to improve care and services
