We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Leicester, a 
category B

 Prison located in Leicester.
 

HMP Leicester is a Category B local prison holding men who are on remand as well as sentenced. It has an operational capacity of around 400. The prison is located in the City Centre and is a 15-minute walk from the station.


Hours

Monday - Sunday 07:30 - 18:30 - 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the following (1 in 3 or 4 weekends on rota basis)


Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £38,115
 
per annum FTE - depending on experience.

As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
  • Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed.
  • Assess patients health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge.
