We are seeking for an experienced social worker who is a dynamic leader and is keen to develop their career in management and can contribute to delivering an excellent service during a child's journey to get the right help at the right time. We have a progressive Practice Academy which is a professional development hub for Social Workers at all levels, from students and newly qualified social workers to strategic social work leader. The Practice Academy aims to provide a clear model using Compassion Focussed Approaches and Systemic Practice to improve the consistency of our work and benefitting the children and families of Greenwich who use our services.

This is an exciting opportunity to build a team around you. You will be a Champion for Children ensuring the best interest of the child is always paramount in decision making. You will be providing consultation to the professional network.


About the Service
:

We are ambitious for children and on a journey to improve the quality of social work practice. We provide excellent training opportunities, we provide management development, and we are serious about social work careers and support regular supervision.

Care Teams include 7 Social Work teams offering a service to children in our care with the main responsibility for ensuring effective care planning, safeguarding and permanence arrangements, placement suitability to meet needs and stability. The Teams also complete care proceedings in the Family Court, providing assessment evidence and opinion to assist in the determination of a permanence outcome for the child(ren). The Service has also recently appointed a Court Progression Manager to offer additional support, oversight and quality assurance of cases in pre (PLO) and care proceedings.
