We are seeking to appoint a Head of Engagement to support us in our ambitions for continuous engagement and help us to listen to the diverse voices of our communities across mid and west Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engagement professional who values the voices of our patients, staff, partners, and broader communities and has a passion for ensuring that we create opportunities for our population to participate in shaping the services that deliver health care in their area.

Working within a changing and challenging environment, we are looking for an individual who can lead our Engagement Team to deliver on our long-term strategy, and who can establish themselves, and the team, as experts in engagement, providing advice and solutions to the wider organisation and with partners that we work alongside.

To succeed in this post you will need to:

develop effective engagement and consultation strategies and frameworks,

lead a programme of continuous engagement and participatory decision making on all the key priority areas and service changes,

and to provide the public with a range of opportunities they can use their voice and get involved in their NHS here in Hywel Dda so that they can shape, own and improve it.

Together with the team that you lead, you will design, develop and implement innovative participatory engagement approaches. In doing so, you will make full use of traditional and new methods of engagement and involvement to engage patients, carers, staff, stakeholders, and the public to build public confidence in the organisation and involve them in designing services and strategies.
