An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Older Adults Wards at UHNM as a Diversional Therapist on the Frail Elderly Assessment Unit (Ward 210). This is an exciting new role that will support our most vulnerable older adult patients whilst they are in the hospital setting. This role involves working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure we provide the highest standards of care to our most vulnerable older adults.
FEAU is a 29 bedded assessment unit that specialises in rapid assessment of our Older Adult patients caring for a wide range of patients with complex medical, physical, psychological and also social needs. It is a fast paced environment with a lot to learn about with a forward thinking and supportive team.
To act of a central person on the ward areas to plan and deliver activities for our older adult patients.
Liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team to provide individualised care and activities suited to the needs of the older adult patients.
