We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and newly qualified or experienced systemic family therapist, who will be able to work with our young people and their families and carers as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will be part of an experienced and reflective multi-disciplinary team offering generic and specialist assessments.

Systemic thinking is highly valued in the team. You will offer systemic consultations to the team and wider services to support children and young people. You will supervise and support the multidisciplinary team in thinking systemically about complex cases.

  • To hold a protected family therapy caseload and actively support the family therapy clinic, with a reflecting team.
  • To provide specialist family therapy advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients’ formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • To plan and implement family therapy treatment or management of a client’s mental health problems using evidence based practice.
  • To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the family.
  • To support the duty provision, taking part in the duty rota.
