The successful candidate will work closely with Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring the appropriate storage and disposal of pharmaceutical items, participating in a ward top-up system, and operating the automated pharmacy storage and dispensing system. This position is critical for facilitating the movement of medicines and pharmacy orders throughout the organisation and maintaining effective communication regarding pharmacy-related issues across various departments.
Princess Alexandra Hospital have exciting opportunities for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join their team.
As a Pharmacy Support Worker, you work as part of the Pharmacy team to provide an effective pharmacy service in the Pharmacy Dispensary, at Ward Level and to support the dispensing of out-patient prescriptions.
Identify, select and issue drugs.
Identify and receive drugs against an official order, using the Pharmacy Computer System to update stock levels.
Deal with telephone enquiries, ward/department and community issues.
Support the movement of work around the organisation including medicines and pharmacy orders.
Load and operate the automated pharmacy storage and dispensing system.
