The Housekeeper will maintain stock levels in clinical spaces and ensure that cots and incubators are cleaned in line with IPC policy.

  • Maintaining an adequate level of stock at ward level
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels in each clinical space (Bristol Maids)
  • Monitoring parent/staff fridge/freezers in line with trust IPC policy
  • Assist staff in cleaning and tidying patient/parent areas
  • Responsible for cleaning incubators & cots

University Hospitals Dorset are looking for a part time Neonatal Housekeeper.

Your role will be to support clinical staff in the care of premature and sick babies by ensuring they have the equipment and stock required to provide a high quality of care.

The Housekeeper will maintain stock levels in clinical spaces and ensure that cots and incubators are cleaned in line with IPC policy. The individual will be highly motivated and pro-active, demonstrating organisational skills, and able to plan and manage their own workload.

The post requires independent working and also times where team working is vital, liaising with Allied Health Professionals and the Neonatal Team.


Base Location: Poole Hospital (will move to Bournemouth Hospital in April 2025)
