As a member of the Practice Education Team, your role will be to support Student Nurses within the Trust and will contribute to the development and maintenance of quality assured placements for the full range of students undertaking educational training within the health care community.
You Will
Contribute at a local, regional and national level to quality assurance initiatives relating to practice learning.
Act as a conduit between the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and placement providers from within NHS and non NHS organisations.
Influence the preparation and delivery of educational programmes which impact on the quality of practice learning and student progression in practice.
HDFT is a key provider of Pre-registration nurse education across North and West Yorkshire and the North East and as such this role is pivotal in the provision of the future nursing workforce development.
The key functions of the Practice Education Team are to:
Support Practice based Assessors and Supervisors to ensure that student Learning opportunities are explored and utilised
Monitor the quality of practice learning experiences for pre-registration healthcare students.
Support the development of students by participating in clinically based educational teaching
To represent the interests of HDFT in terms of pre-registration education locally and nationally
