About The Role

We require a part-time (29 hours per week) Service Support Assistant to join our busy locality based Adult Care Team within Adults & Housing Services.

You will join our Business Support Team based at our Ferndown Local Office, having daily contact with clients, carers and external organisations. The proposed hours worked will be 14 hours providing general administrative support to the East Dorset Locality Team and 15 hours providing specialist support to the Community Learning Disabilities Team (DHUFT).

The Business Support Team consists of Senior Service Support Officers, Case Support Co-ordinators, a Service Support Officer and Service Support Assistants who work together closely to provide support to the professional staff within the East Dorset Locality Team and the Health Team ensuring that an efficient and effective service is provided to support the clients in the East Dorset area. You will have regular telephone contact with clients, carers, family members, domiciliary organisations, care homes and other departments within Dorset Council.

Excellent customer service skills and a flexible attitude are required to support a positive approach and provide a high-quality service.

Y ou must have an eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and be self-motivated to produce work to the highest standard. We will provide full training on all processes, procedures and specialist systems.
