The senior care worker plays a crucial role in providing care and support to elderly. Their responsibilities encompass various aspects of their resident’s well-being ensuring their physical emotional and social needs are met here of some key aspects of the senior care workers role: medication administration supervision of the care staff, health monitoring, emotional support documentation and reporting to your line manager team collaboration including health professionals and relative and adherence to policies and regulations.


About The Team You’ll Be Working In


You’ll be working at Clifton Gardens Residential Care Home which is locates close to Chiswick high street. The home is a residence for 42 elderly people, many of whom are living with the experience of Dementia.


About You


As the Senior care worker, you’ll have a set of responsibilities, including full participation in a 24/7 rota, managing time flexibly between direct care duties and acting as the 'Designated Responsible Person.' The role also involves recording of observations, incidents, and concerns regarding service users, ensuring accuracy and conciseness.

Additionally, the role requires conducting care plan assessments, engaging with residents or their representatives to set individual goals and devising care plans. Supporting the service by creating work schedules, covering for absences, and maintaining up-to-date systems and documentation. Importantly, the role demands representing and upholding the individuality, choice, and control of vulnerable residents at all times, with an obligation to immediately report any safeguarding or neglect concerns to a manager.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in the use of technology and have range of computer skills inlcuding word, excel and Microsoft.

  • Have a NVQ level 3 or higher in health and soial care.
  • Enhanced DBS check is required.
