An existing opportunity has arisen in Pharmacy Cancer Services at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and innovative pharmacist to join our team.
The key role of this post will be working alongside neighbouring trusts within North West London to develop and maintain chemotherapy regimens on the electronic prescribing system in addition to providing a specialist pharmacy service to the oncology and clinical haematology specialties.
This will involve working closely with the Senior Specialist Pharmacists and the multidisciplinary team members to provide excellent patient care.
The post holder will be involved in:
Building, validating and checking chemotherapy regimens on the electronic prescribing system
Providing electronic prescribing support to the multidisciplinary team members
SACT dataset reporting
Monitor key performance indicators for Pharmacy and Cancer Services
In addition, the post holder will be involved in clinical screening of chemotherapy prescriptions and medicine management for oncology and haematology patients in inpatient, day case and outpatientsettings.
The post holder will ideally be a non-medical prescriber or working towards the qualification, and will prescribe chemotherapy for either oncology or haematology patients.
You can also expect a structured specialist development, and opportunity to contribute to high level clinical and service delivery projects supported by senior members of the Pharmacy team.
