About the Team:
Lambeth Council is recognised as a leading local authority in relation to our commitment to, and experience of, addressing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). This includes a strong partnership response and an innovative approach to service provision for victims and survivors of gender-based violence.
To ensure that Lambeth continues to maintain a strong partnership approach and continues to support all agencies in working to end violence against women and girls, we are recruiting a Violence Against Women and Girls Project Officer.
About the Role:
- To coordinate and administrate the Lambeth Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and Lambeth Sexual Exploitation and Harm Panel (SEHP) to ensure the effective operation, performance and delivery of these processes, in partnership with key Lambeth stakeholders.
- Support the Violence Against Women and Girls Team with the delivery of the Lambeth Made Safer Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy, with a particular focus on the coordination of a multi-agency response to high-risk victims and survivors of violence against women and girls.
- Lead on developing the MARAC and SEHP processes using innovative solutions to manage caseloads and ensure victims and survivors and partner agencies receive an effective service.
- Lead on refreshing the digital system, administration forms, policies and procedures where required and coordinate and administrate the Lambeth MARAC and SEHP steering groups.
- Work in close partnership with staff from the voluntary, statutory and community sector to ensure they are familiar with the MARAC and SEHP processes, and their role and responsibilities within them.
It is essential therefore that you have demonstrable experience of working within the VAWG sector, and significant experience of working in a multi-agency setting. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of the needs and experience of victims and survivors of VAWG, and of related service delivery.
