We are looking for
support workers to work within our residential home based in Godalming, Surrey. You’ll be working with autistic adults and their families in a range of environments that support the service users' needs.

Our residential home currently supports 13 individuals. The home is run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Support workers help the residents to complete their everyday routines, prepare meals, as well as help them learn essential home skills such as doing the washing and making the bed. The residents regularly participate in activities in our day centres where they access the community so they can participate in activities such as swimming, horse-riding, trips to the seaside and cycle rides.


Role


Previous experience of working with people who exhibit challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential for this role. You will need to be enthusiastic and willing to help individuals with a variety of care and support needs including:

  • Accessing the community, shopping, social outings and leisure activities
  • Domestic tasks like cooking and personal care


Hours of Work:
37 hours per week. We promote a flexible rota system to create a healthy work/life balance for our staff. Where possible we ask staff to work 1 weekend in a month.


We offer a competitive salary , overtime opportunities paid at an enhanced rate of £12.50 per hour for waking night staff and a sleep in premium at £50 per night for staff.
