We have an opportunity for at least two Practice Nurses to join our North locality, covering Westcliffe and Haigh Hall Surgeries.

You will need to be flexible to travel across both sites.

We can offer a full time and a part time role, or possibly two part time roles.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced nurse who can do some or all of the tasks detailed in the duties of the role below. However we recognise that you might only have some of the skills and we would still be interested in hearing from you, as we are willing to train the right candidate.

Administer adult and child immunisations and vaccinations in accordance with national and local programmes. Is competent in anaphylaxis and resuscitation techniques. Ensures safe storage, rotation and disposal of vaccines and drugs and adequate stock levels are maintained.

The practice nurse has a role in promoting good leadership for all grades of staff and will:

Contribute to and initiate the development, monitoring and evaluation of care delivery by the Nursing Team

Provide expert clinical advice on educational opportunities that will facilitate the development and support of their specialist knowledge and skills to ensure the development of clinical practice Encourage and develop teamwork within the practice

Make effective use of the clinical system by ensuring the consistent and accurate entering of data and use of Read Codes
