This role enables you to see all aspects of maternity care from booking a new pregnancy through to the postnatal period. You will work alongside passionate midwives whilst building rapport with women and their families and obtaining real job satisfaction.
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic maternity assistants to join our team of community midwives at Whipps Cross University Hospital. You will be expected to work with the various community teams when required.
Barts Health NHS Trust has a world-wide reputation for innovation in the care of mothers to be, each birth is very special to us and we strive to make every birth as normal as possible. Our local community is home to families from a diverse mix of ethnicity, social and health needs.
As part of the recruitment process for this post candidates will be required to complete an online literacy and numeracy test.

To support the midwife in providing antenatal and postnatal support to the individual mothers and small groups of women
The post holder may be expected to be rotated to all areas within maternity with some weekend and evening commitments as required by the service
