Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required

You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills.
Within Your Role You Will Be Asked To
Greet all patients and visitors to the department with courtesy and compassion.
Observe and report to the registered nurse all changes in a patient's physical and psychological condition.
Support families and carers following a patient bereavement or when bad news has been shared.
Assist and as required provide patients with personal care- assisting them when in pain or distressed.
Assist patients with feeding and drinking when necessary and maintaining patient notes.
With that, candidates will be required to have a good standard of Maths and English, GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent.

Experience of working / participating as part of a team.
Evidence of ability to work using own initiative and under minimal supervision (
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the role and tasks involved
Can articulate the reasons for training/ standards of practice and behaviour and how these may be demonstrated / relate to patient care and safety
Desirable
Minimum of 6 months experience in a care environment in the last 12 months
