We are looking for a support worker for a charming, humorous and happy young man with complex care needs, who requires continuous supervision, care and support. The role is based in Lewes, Brighton in our clients own home. The waking night hours are 7pm to 7am on a Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.


About The Client And Support Needed


Our clients' interests are varied and he loves playing with his lego, watching TV and visiting museums, especially the Imperial War Museum. In spite of our clients' medical conditions, he is described as being 'the happiest person ever' with a quick sense of humour, enjoying life and college whilst being supported by his parents, younger sibling and care team.

Our client needs support to ensure he is safe. Your role will be to ensure he is never left alone and to respond to him when needed, accompanying him to the bathroom, supporting during seizures and calling for assistance if necessary. You will also ensure his medication is administered on time each morning.

You will ideally have experience of a similar care role and a knowledge of children's British culture or similar interests.

You should be friendly, enthusiastic and be meticulous with punctuality...a good sense of humour is a must!!

  • Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs

Contractual Benefits:


An hourly pay rate of: £14.per hour

Company pension scheme

Enhanced bank holiday payments: 2 days at x 1.5 hourly pay and 5 days at x 2 times hourly pay

Annual Leave is paid at 5.6weeks (pro-rata) per annum, based on contracted hours
