We are looking for an experienced and caring person to work within our existing respiratory therapy team providing a high standard of care as part of the inpatient therapy service

Within the role you will provide clinical assessment and treatments under the supervision of qualified staff, prepare and maintain safe clinical areas and maintain stock levels, as well as provide administrative support to the physiotherapy and occupational therapy department.

You may be required to work within critical care, on the acute medical and surgical wards, providing therapy to clients in one to one treatments. You will also be responsible for assisting in the triaging, prioritisation, new patient assessments, and delivery of treatment and therapy programmes for this client group. You will need to become familiar with referral processes for community and other inpatient facilities.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential, whilst area specific training will be provided. Excellent Inter-personal skills are also essential as you will be required to liaise with clinicians, patients / carers and GPs, as appropriate

The successful applicant will need to:

- have excellent communication skills

- be flexible, adaptable and able to work with a wide range of people

- be hard working & conscientious

- To understand the psychological symptoms and conditions that can affect a person with chronic pain, trauma and illness.

- To be able to implement personalised treatment programmes

- To be able to work within a pressured and sometimes stressful environment
