NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership is looking for forward-thinking and enthusiastic District Nurses (DNs).
We are looking to recruit DNs to our day community nursing teams, evening community nursing teams and overnight community nursing team within Aberdeen City. There are both full time and part time opportunities available within our city community nursing teams.
Please state clearly in your supporting statement what hours you are looking for and if there is a particular shift pattern from those described above or if you wish to be considered for a mixture of shifts.
Community experience is essential and candidates must possess a Specialist Practice District Nursing qualification. However, we also welcome applications from nurses who have not been using their District Nurse qualification recently as we can provide full support for them to develop back into a District Nurse role. This opportunity is also open to trainee District Nurses who expect to obtain their qualification in or around September 2024.
This is a challenging and exciting role in which the successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a caseload while ensuring the delivery of high quality nursing care. As we work to shape the future of our localities and new pathways of working a willingness to contribute ideas and work in partnership to ensure the best possible delivery model for our communities is essential.
Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to team working and ongoing professional development. Being a car driver/owner essential for this role.
For informal enquiries please contact Lorraine Johnston District Nurse Team Leader or email
