We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced full time Band 4 Administrator to work in the Community Eating Disorder Services; the role will be spilt between the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder team (3 days) and the Adult Eating Disorder Integrated Mental health Service (2 days).

You will be joining two very dedicated teams of clinicians and will be working alongside practiced administrators who will offer you support and training. The Admin role is invaluable for the smooth running and efficiency of the overall service. You will need to be highly organised and able to work well under pressure. Although this is a very demanding role you will be working with a very dedicated and forward-thinking teams and you will be able to play a key role in these services.

You will also be expected to support with management of the referrals into the service, liaison with patients and families as well as GPs and other health providers. You will support the current admin teams with the day to day activities of the service including the welcoming of patients to the service.

You will report to the team Business Lead and Service Manager.

The Child and Adolescent team is based in Epsom and the AEDimhs team is based in Leatherhead where there is a potential some flexible home working. We are open Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 17.00 excluding, Public Holidays.

To exercise judgement with regards to patient enquiries assessing urgency and taking appropriate action, some of which will be complex.

To be able to present complex information in a range of formats, including verbally and through the use of information technology.

To support team members in liaising with young people and their families, carers, secretaries, GPs and other relevant care agencies.

Receive and process referrals to the relevant clinician and system(s

Provide day to day supervision and monitoring of workload.

Update case notes on patient record system as required

Undertake regular managerial supervision and appraisal of administrators within the team, in conjunction with Band 5, if applicable

Provide secretarial support to the team, as required, i.e. arranging meetings, ESR approvals, diary management, monitoring cover arrangements, arranging agency workers, logging incidents onto DATIX etc.

Monitor annual leave requests and sickness absence for manager, as required

Book appointments on the patient record system for clinics and individual consultations

Answer telephone calls and relay any messages in a timely manner

Creating bespoke documents for the team, such as leaflets etc.
