To identify abnormal findings and to ensure appropriate escalation process takes place.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, polite, confident, resilient and organised individual to join the Medical Outpatient Service as a Healthcare Assistant.You will be expected to have good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with the numerous patients that visit outpatients on a daily basis.
Be able to work without constant direct supervision using initiative within the level of competence for the post.
Act as a role model at all times, reflecting the Trust values and behaviours and delivering high standards of care. Be self-aware and open to receive and learn from feedback.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of clinical duties to promote patient safety. Other duties include completing mandatory training.
- To provide a high standard of individualised compassionate care to patients, whilst maintaining at all times, their privacy and dignity.
- To assess patients using observations and relevant safety tools.
- To identify abnormal findings and to ensure appropriate escalation process takes place
- To use the computer systems to input patient care.
- To communicate to the patient and carers their OPD journey
- To work along side the nurses, AHP and doctors within scope of practice.
- General housekeeping on the unit.
- Admin work accordingly and when required.
