We'd like you to join us as a Staff Nurse (RN) at our Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Nottingham.

At Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre , we offer rehabilitation, care and support to people with a brain injury or other neurological condition. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.

We provide a psychology led multi-disciplinary treatment model to deliver a high quality, specialist service for people who have a neuro disability or acquired brain injury.

What you'll be working:

  • 38.5 hours per week
  • Days & nights on a rota basis.

We have vacancies on:

Fernwood Unit - Providing longer term care for residents with complex care needs including tracheostomies, ventilation. (22 Beds)

Millwood Unit - a Rehabilitation Unit delivering a programme following brain injury, to enable them to become as independent as possible. (14 beds)

What you'll be doing:

  • To give care and support to individuals, with physical and cognitive impairments as a result of brain injury or other progressive neurological condition.
  • To work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker (with facilitation) for a defined group of patients/residents and take responsibility for:
  • Protecting and supporting the health of individual patients/residents;
  • Assessment of care and health education needs;
  • Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient.
  • Under supervision, to gain experience and skills in:
  • Clinical practice;
  • Facilitation and teaching;
  • Management (as appropriate).
  • To take charge of the ward/department/unit in the absence of senior nursing staff following performance review.
  • To adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour period.
  • To maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in line with Infection Prevention Control guidance within the clinical environment minimising the risk of cross infection.

What you'll have:

  • A current NMC Pin registration
  • A legal right to work in the U.K.
