The Musculoskeletal Service Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin brings together partner organisations across the county, including Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust, Shrewsbury & Telford Hospitals and the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, to provide quality assistance to patients with musculoskeletal concerns within the population of Shropshire.

You will be responsible for the supervision of the Referral centre and will carry out a variety of department administrative duties for both the clinical and administrative teams to support this aim. You will have a good understanding of the Referral to Treatment process, be able to demonstrate initiative and have the confidence to apply conclusions using the national rules suite.
The successful candidate must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a pleasant telephone manner, supervisory and organisational skills and able to demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure. A flexible approach to work and an understanding of working in a busy environment with competing priorities and changing demands under minimal supervision is also essential.
You will be friendly and approachable and have a positive attitude to work. You will be able to use your own initiative when necessary, working with people and engaging with colleagues at all levels and always have an understanding for the need for confidentiality.
You will be computer literate with experience of Word and Excel and have some knowledge of working in a clinical based service using bookings systems and processes.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal convictions.
