NHS Grampian Vaccination Programme are looking to recruit Fixed term Band 5 Vaccinators (September 2024 – End December 2024). This will be within vaccination centres, as well as outlying community clinics. Secondment opportunities would be welcome with your line managers support in advance of application.

Current vacancies are available across the following bases: Aberdeen City vaccination centres & Moray Vaccination Centre in Elgin. Within your application, please specify your desired area of work.

Applicants must hold a valid registration with a governing body who can work to national PGD’s (Patient Group Directives) or be a registered nurse or midwife with current full NMC registration. They must be able to demonstrate a high standard of care, so the immunisation programme is carried out safely, effectively and according to the national policies. PEIP would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be given. Applicants must have good time management and should be an active team player, but also be able to work on their own initiative as lone working will be required. They need to have an open, friendly manner with excellent communication skills, as they can be dealing with a diverse range of people from all age groups, occasionally resulting in stressful situations. Applicants must be adaptable and willing to move to another clinic if required.

The post holder should hold a current UK driving license and own or have access to a vehicle (with business insurance) as work may take place across each locality in community vaccination clinics, home visits, Schools and Nursing homes.

We are seeking people for various hours per week, and days of work may be over 6 days. The hours available are from a minimum of 7.4 (1 day) up to 37 hours per week (5-6 days). This may include some weekend working.

Secondments opportunities are available, but you must have support from your current line manager, before applying.
