What does the role involve?

This is a leadership role with the opportunity to continue to develop and embed trauma and psychologically informed practice across the whole of the charity. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be involved in the strategic development of new services, including our plan to develop Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). You will also be instrumental in improving the quality, effectiveness, and safety of our services through supporting evidence-based practice and clinical governance activities. You will lead the trauma informed practice workgroup and undertake reflective practice sessions with our staff.

Step One Charity is looking for someone who can promote evidence-based interventions to maximise positive outcomes & recovery for our service users.

In this role you will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). You will support Step One in our ambition to be a trauma informed, psychologically driven and evidence-based charity. This includes helping to scale up the quality and capacity of our commissioned services as well as finding new and innovative ways to support our communities. Our 5-year plan includes the ambition to expand and develop psychological provision across the charity. This role will be central to developing the model of psychological practice and recruiting and supervising further psychological roles as they are developed.

Based in Exeter with travel to multiple locations in Devon, (Hybrid, Flexible)

  • Knowledgeable about risk management, legislation & its impact on service provision.
