We're currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated, driven and passionate Physiotherapist to join a dynamic In-patient/Rehabilitation Physiotherapy team in Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. The In-patient Physiotherapy team provide rehabilitation to a wide range of patients who have been critically unwell, required a surgical procedure or have been medically unwell. We play a pivotal role in a patient's journey from critical care to home by linking with other members of the multidisciplinary team, attending board rounds and providing holistic patient centred care.

The post holder will work closely with in-patient and community colleagues, local MDT and community services, in order to maximise patient outcomes. Innovative practice and service development is encouraged and supported.

The post holder will be required to participate in the provision of on call respiratory service and future developments in 7 day working.

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly in the acute setting across surgical wards, medical wards and Critical Care. The post holder will be expected to be an autonomous practitioner providing specialist assessment clinical reasoning skills and managing a complex caseload daily. The case load will consist of medical and surgical rehabilitation patients as well as a respiratory element.

The role offers the opportunity to provide supervision and teaching to support workers, Band 5's and students alike.

Whilst the main focus of the role will be based in Prince Philip Hospital, there is an expectation to work flexibly alongside services in Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen as required.

The post holder will be required to have the skills in order to participate in the respiratory On-call service.

As part of the role, you will require extensive experience and expertise in the principles, standards and delivery of inpatient rehabilitation with demonstrable knowledge of managing a complex caseloads. The team is committed to providing a quality, comprehensive and sustainable service for our patients.
