A very exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Care Support Worker Band 2 who will be wiling to support the Registered Renal Nurses in carrying out care to haemodialysis patients has now opened . The successful applicant will support patients undergoing regular haemodialysis treatment which will involve a multitude of skills including patients education and application technology. She or He will be supported by the haemodialysis staff in acquiring the needed skills and knowledge.

lton Keynes Renal Unit is a Satellite Unit of Oxford Kidney Unit and provides an Outpatient Service of Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis and Renal Clinics for patients in Milton Keynes and some part of Buckinghamshire.



Milton Keynes Renal Unit is a nurse led unit with a highly motivated team committed to a high quality of service, developing individual potential and continuing education. The unit has strong links with the Oxford Kidney Unit, Oxford Brookes University and Northampton University which enable the educational and professional development of staff .


To assist registered nurses the delivery of planned health care within the dialysis unit. The band 2 clinical support worker will under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in assisting the meeting the physical, psychological and social needs of the patients receiving heamodialysis treatment. They will follow a structured training programme under supervision of a mentor to complete demonstrate competence.
