What might it look like to work here?
Stand by, we'll show you...
Ideally, I would like to recruit people who can work together and cover for each other when on holiday.
I am looking to recruit a team of personal assistants, when I move to Murrayfield in the middle of June. The job involves assisting me with a variety of tasks to help me live my life as independently as possible.
I am 78 years old and am dependent on a wheelchair as my mobility is very limited due to Parkinson’s and coronary heart disease. My husband is 88 years old and manages to still play golf each week but is finding it increasingly difficult to be my full-time carer.
The main tasks involved include personal care, food preparation, assisting me to go out for a walk and accompanying me to go to appointments etc.
Weekend care is particularly important as I need assistance to get showered and dressed in the morning and also to help me get ready for bed in the evening and to ensure I get to bed safely.
Ideally, I would like to recruit people who can work together and cover for each other when on holiday. Shift times would be flexible but generally be from 9.15 to 12.15 in the morning, 2.30 to 4 pm and 8.30 to 9.30 each evening. 30 hours per week would be available for each PA.
I am looking for personal assistants who are friendly and approachable with a good sense of humour. You must be reliable, trustworthy and adaptable. It is important that my employees are aware of, and sensitive to my needs and those of my husband.
If you are interested please contact me so that we can discuss further details. The rate of pay is £15 per hour.
