Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
You would be supporting two gents who live in Aberdeen City. They require a variety of support to keep them safe, guide them in keeping their home and supporting with learning disability and mental health needs. One gent requires support with his mobility and sleep aponeoa. You will be trained in moving and positioning, diabetes care and training in the use of a Non Invasive Vent (NIV) machine for sleep aponeoa. Both gents love gaming and watching DVDs. and they enjoy Pokemon tournaments and collecting the cards for these. Both are encouraged to actively go into town for anything they need. They like fun people who will encourage to do as much as they can and willing to have training to support to the best of their ability. They would appreciate the love of cats as they have two living with them. We have one or two staff on shift at one time. They also have 1:1 support at set times. The shifts vary early, lates and waking nights. Their home is a spacious 2 bed roomed flat with a garden at the rear of the house. They have their own bedrooms and bathrooms but share a kitchen and a living room.
