Job Description


We're recruiting the role of
Clinical Research Interface Lead
, a unique opportunity to ensure benefit to both healthcare and research through shared learning and diagnoses and research opportunities. In this role, you'll work with a wide range of internal functions - Clinical, Design and Research, and Technology to make the inner workings of our diagnostic discovery function as simple and automated as possible, whilst ensuring operational excellence and, above all, clinical safety in returning results to clinicians. You will also be crucial in planning and implementation of campaigns generating awareness and understanding from our target audiences of clinicians and researchers in order to grow this function, making it the beating heart at the center of the Genomics England infinity loop, and the realisation of our translational strategy.

Key accountabilities:
  • Streamline processes in the clinical research interface, fostering collaboration between healthcare and research.
  • Coordinate closely with clinical and diagnostic discovery teams, providing leadership and oversight.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to enhance technical platforms and pipelines for efficient reporting and collaboration.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with researchers and stakeholders, ensuring access to necessary resources.
  • Engage with the academic community to promote CRI pathways and drive diagnostic discovery.
  • Partner with the Development Team to explore new diagnoses or insights via industry partnerships.
  • Develop reporting systems to track outcomes and impact, internally and externally.
  • Lead the expansion of the CRI function, building and guiding a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to navigate complex research proposals and ensure compliance.

Skills & Experience for Success:


We anticipate that the ideal candidate will have/be:
  • An experienced operational leader within a clinical or research setting, with a focus on process improvement, metrics monitoring and stakeholder engagement.
  • Have an understanding of technology and an interest in its application.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, with the ability to drive initiatives from conception to implementation.
  • Some knowledge of genomic research and diagnostics preferred, with a keen interest in advancing precision medicine.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for driving innovation and making a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery.

Qualifications


PhD or equivalent experience in the life sciences
