Newham Outpatient department includes two site, Health central OPD and Gateway surgical OPD, is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 2 Health Care Support worker to join our friendly and dynamic team to deliver high quality and evidenced based care to patients attending their outpatient’s appointment. We are looking for individuals who are professionally driven to provide compassionate care to all our service users.

We believe that providing excellent education, training and development for our staff is essential. In clinical areas, you will be supported by the your colleagues, band 5 nurses, Junior Sisters/ charge- nurse and will be working alongside our leading consultants to ensure patients have quicker access to their consultations whilst receiving a high standard of clinical care.

  • To provide support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals by giving direct

  • To assist in the maintenance of a healthy and hygienic environment.
  • To undertake customer care training and implement best practice when dealing with patients and other members of staff.
  • To maintain a flexible approach to teamwork within the department.
  • To undertake other duties as requested by nurse in charge.
