37.5 Hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of highly skilled nurse practitioners on Ward 34 NASU Neurology and Acute Stroke Unit managing acute stroke patients.
This postilion could be offered starting as a band 6 for a training development opportunity.
There are stroke specific competencies that the successful applicant will work towards. You will be assigned a nominated assessor and have regular meetings with your clinical supervisor.
You will be able to demonstrate clinical expertise and positive forward thinking leadership skills and have the professional competence to effectively manager operational and clinical incidents.
You will be expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to ward rounds and MDT meetings, assessing and clerking patients and attending ED out of hours to assess acute stroke patients. Your skills and expertise will be involved in diagnosing and treating patients and escalating to senior medical team members.
We are inviting applicants with a passion for improving hyper acute stroke care, motivated and enthusiastic with significant post registration experience. The individual should be intent on delivering a high-quality service within this fast paced evolving and exciting unit. Educational opportunities are available for continued professional development along with clinical supervision.
