What might it look like to work here?
Stand by, we'll show you...
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.
We are looking for a keen and creative psychologist to join our expanding and thriving secondary care psychology service within the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical/counselling psychologist to deliver person centred, evidence-based interventions for people experiencing psychosis and to offer invaluable support to their loved ones. The post holder will be joining a supportive and passionate group of psychologists who are interested in working closely alongside peers and third sector organisations to co-design and co-deliver innovative interventions for all who access the service. We work closely as a psychology provision inclusive of those who work more with complex emotional needs and community psychology, which sit within Mental Health and Wellness Teams. Specialist trauma supervision takes place within the pathway and there are many interesting things to engage in across the Trust such as Trauma Informed Care, PCREF and research. We are a forward-thinking, dynamic group of psychologists who value diversity, encourage critical thinking and promote difference.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain further qualifications in CBTp and FIp and receive expert supervision in both. They will also benefit from individual supervision from a senior psychologist and a BABCP accredited supervisor if the successful candidate wishes to develop their CBT competencies. We are committed to supporting identified training and practice development needs to provide people with the best opportunities to develop their knowledge, skill base and interests. Alongside a range of training offered i.e. EMDR, MBT, DBT, Schema which is supported across the TrustWe value the importance of richness in delivering secondary care services to effectively meet the needs of the population we serve, therefore integrated working with wider team members i.e. care coordinators, peer and support worker colleagues in the Borough and our partners and other agencies is essential.
