Job Description
To work as part of a team in planning and delivery of effective Out of School Care provision to meet the individual needs of children and their families, ensuring their wellbeing and improving play experiences and outcomes for all service users.
Requirements
- Delivering a high quality Out of School Care service
- Experience of working directly with school aged children.
- Experience of planning for and assessing children’s learning and play experiences.
- Ability to relate to children, parents, carers and other professional colleagues.
- Managing and maximising resources
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Using a variety of ICT packages including email, internet and Microsoft applications (word and excel)
Responsibilities
Assist in the day to day running of an Out of School Care setting ensuring the care, health and safety needs of all children are being met and that positive play experiences are being delivered.
Supporting and delivering the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the service delivery.
Participate in all aspects of teamwork within the setting including care of resources and ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.
Observation and interaction with children to support their learning and Play experiences.
The Individual
- SVQ Level 2 in Playwork,SSCYP or CCLD (SQFF Level 6), or demonstratable equivalent experience & knowledge
Registration with Scottish Social Services Council
