Band 7: £48,270 to £54,931 a year Incl. 5% Fringe HCAS, pa, pro rata.  PERMANENT 

  • Discharge professional responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 1983, other legislations and CPA Policy.
  • Comply with and adhere to the relevant Professional Code of Conduct and other appropriate professional practice guidelines.
  • Provide professional clinical advice to other Team members and to the Integrated Care Team Leader.
  • Act as a positive role model for colleagues/others in relation to personal / professional conduct and practice.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures relevant to the service area are implemented and complied with.
  • Ensure that full regard is taken to promote dignity, individuality, self-esteem and well-being of patients and of their relatives or carers.
  • Be accountable for her/his practice and take every reasonable opportunity to sustain and improve their knowledge and professional competence and that of the Team.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the well-being and interest of patients of the team, ensuring that by no act or omission on their part, the patients welfare or safety is placed at risk.
  • Act as an advocate and promote self-advocacy for patients and their carers.
  • Have due regard to the workload of and the pressure on colleagues, and take appropriate action if these are thought to be such as to endanger safe standards of practice.
  • Ensure that clinical practice is based on current knowledge and is evidence based.

Establish and embed a senior leadership team function for the service.

Responsible for developing and implementing strategies that promote an environment of involvement and recovery. Ensure that the agenda of social inclusion is reflected in interventions offered and implemented.

Responsible for the development of a high quality service

Lead & motivate staff to provide a pro-active and responsive high quality service, contributing to ongoing audit and evaluation.

Ensure that the necessary systems & protocols for the delivery of a safe & supportive service are in place, understood & adhered to throughout the Service.

Ensure that effective communications systems are established, maintained and monitored regularly within the Service & between the Teams & other services/agencies/partners.

Work with the Integrated Care Team Leader to agree clear & deliverable objectives & to ensure they are implemented & monitored.

Provide line management, for staff within the Service.

Ensure arrangements are in place for all service members to receive regular supervision, appraisal and have their personal development plans and training needs identified and where possible met.

Facilitate pro-active links and relationships between the Team & the wider community giving advice & guidance to fellow professionals, carers, voluntary organisations & the public.

Foster collaborative working relationships with the whole system.

Ensure appropriate and timely transfer of care between services.

Ensure that all practitioners maintain accurate databases.

Facilitate regular review of caseloads, providing guidance and support to ensure all care is of a high quality and is evidence based.
