Band 2, Healthcare Support Worker
Location; Links at Woodend,
Links@Woodend is a 22 bedded mixed rehabilitation ward. 6 beds are dedicated to Prosthetic Rehab for individuals who have undergone lower limb amputation. 10 beds are for Orthopaedic Rehab and 6 beds are General Medical rehab for older adults.
Applicants must be genuinely interested in working as a member of a caring team.
Previous care of older adult rehabilitation would be advantageous as would previous experience of working with people who have undergone amputation.
The post holder will be required to act as a member of the multi-disciplinary team by participating in providing a high standard of patient care, by undertaking clinical support activities and by assisting qualified staff in the provision of rehabilitation.
Good communication skills and the ability and flexibility to cope with a varied patient group is essential.
The post holder would be required to work 12hr shift patterns with rotation of day and night duty.
These positions are primarily based within Links at Woodend however you may be required to work in another area of Woodend Hospital or Aberdeen Royal Infirmary ward 102 and Rosewell House to meet service needs should this be required to ensure the delivery of safe patient care.
