We are currently looking for a Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist with expert knowledge and experience. This role will cover both primary and secondary breast patients. This is an exciting role, where you will be part of a team working in the Private Care sector of the Royal Marsden. The Private Care team at the Royal Marsden covers 3 sites in Chelsea, Cavendish Square and Sutton, Surrey.

The successful candidate would need to be enthusiastic and preferably experienced, who enjoys patient contact and working in a multi-disciplinary environment to support the delivery of a high-quality service. You must be able to demonstrate excellent clinical leadership skills, effective communication skills, flexibility, reliability and have an organised approach to work

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you are the main contact for the patient, there to support the patient throughout their treatment which may include surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and/or radiotherapy.

The CNS role provides advice and support relating to the patient's disease, cancer treatments, possible side effects which will includetelephone triage of side-effects and/or complications of the disease or treatments.

You will work closely with members of the MDT and CNS team to deliver personalised evidence-based care.

Provision of specialist, high quality, expert nursing care and support for patients with a diagnosis of primary and secondary breast cancer.

To act as a resource for patients and the clinical team by the provision ofcomprehensive specialist advice, information, teaching and training both within RMH and externally regarding primary/secondary breast cancer.

To support and signpost patients to appropriate services.

Undertake a full specialist nursing assessment to identify the specific needs of the above patient groups and their families/carers to include the Holistic Needs assessment.

Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of breast cancer to allow collaboration with medical colleagues to ensure that patients and their families are fully informed and understand proposed patient investigations and treatments.
