A vacancy has arisen, for an enthusiastic, hard-working and highly motivated Health Care Assistant to join our team in Respiratory Medicine.

The respiratory wards care and treat a mixed clinical case load which can include Asthma, COPD, Neuromuscular lung disorders, Cystic Fibrosis, Infection and Interstitial lung disease. The directorate has one of the largest centres using non-invasive ventilation and has several designated sleep rooms for sleep disordered breathing diagnosis.

Your primary responsibility in this role would be to support our nursing team, ensuring that every patient receives the attention and care they deserve. In addition to your direct care duties, you would handle some administrative tasks that are crucial to our service's smooth operation.

One of your key roles would be to maintain a well-organized ward environment. This includes managing the ward supplies area and ensuring that everything runs safely and efficiently. Your efforts in creating a safe working environment are invaluable to both the staff and the patients.

While having an NVQ Level 3 in Care and IT skills is desirable, what we value most is your dedication and willingness to learn. If you're ready to take on the challenge, night duty and flexibility in supporting the wards within the Respiratory directorate may be required.
