The CAMHS Response Team is an innovative and pioneering team that is passionate about improving care for the young people that we work with.

We aim to provide a range of short-term intensive community-based crisis interventions for up to 2 weeks, as an alternative to inpatient admission and provide advice and support to parents/carers, in partnership with various internal and external agencies. We also aim to provide assessments for YP with mental health needs presenting with, or at risk of, going into crisis via A&E departments, on paediatric wards or seen by Community CAMHS Tier 3 services.

The service operates 365 days a year from 8 am to 10pm. The successful applicant will work 5 x7.5 hr shifts per week including some weekends

We are searching for a Band 4 Senior CAMHS Support Worker. This is a varied role with its focus on supporting young people to engage in therapeutic activities, helping them to develop new skills, develop their independence and improve their confidence. This role offers excellent opportunities to gain experience and skills in working with young people within their home and their wider community.

We are looking to appoint someone who is confident, responsive and has a passion for young-person and family-centred improvements; you will be enthusiastic, creative and resilient and be able to respond to young people’s needs flexibly and with compassion. The successful candidate will pride themselves on being skilled at engaging with young people and families, work well within a team, thrive on change and be passionate about providing a high-quality service to young people. We are looking for a candidate who is inspired by the idea of making a difference .

  • The Post holder will facilitate individual therapeutic care plans/ therapeutic interventions that have been planned with or by qualified members of the team in conjunction with their care coordinator.
  • The Senior CAMHS support worker will work with young people in their own homes and in their wider the community.
