Clinical Psychologist Band 8a 11.2 hours per week


Applications are invited from psychologists who are interested in working, along with a multidisciplinary team, to provide psychological care to patients and their families in the community as part of the major trauma pathway. The psychologist will join a team working across the North of Scotland Trauma Network and will be based with the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology, NHS Grampian.

Work involves assessment and intervention with patients who have experienced major physical injuries (including brain and/ or orthopaedic injuries) and their families. Providing holistic care, as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, involving neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation and psychological intervention with patients and their families.

The psychologist will contribute to developing the major trauma team approach to psychological care and play a key role in advising multidisciplinary team on psychological management of patients.

There are ample opportunities to develop areas of interest and research and contribute to training and the work of the Neuropsychology Department. Regular supervision is provided by Senior Clinical Psychologists within the major trauma team.
