Apricus Resourcing are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Clinical Substance Misuse Healthcare Health Care Assistant for a leading Substance Misuse Addiction Recovery Service to work in LS12 Leeds in West Yorkshire, who is really passionate about providing a personal recovery service.
These roles are working full time ideally standard hours of 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am-5pm with possibility to work up to 7pm if desired, any on shift expenses will be compensated.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a highly rewarding sector with some truly inspirational service users and colleagues. Healthcare Assistant reports to our Lead Nurse and is responsible for supporting and assisting in the provision of a range of healthcare interventions. Day-to-day duties include: Supporting the clinical team with healthcare assessments and treatments Undertaking clinical supervisions Providing harm reduction support, information and advice to individuals in relation to substance misuse. Detoxification assessments and Health Assessments. Monitoring and facilitation of community detoxifications. BBV screening and immunisations. Referral into other services to meet the health and well-being needs of people who use our service.
You will also be required to be competent in venepuncture, observations, ECG, health promotion advise, and ideally already have BLS training but this is not essential.
In return for your commitment, we are able to offer a very competitive rate of pay of between £11.93-£14.75 per hour, however it may be possible to negotiate above this for candidates with exceptional extended experience.
