An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic, compassionate and highly motivated individuals to join our palliative care team ac Clinical Nurse Specialists.
You will join the team of Macmillan Palliative Care Nurse Specialists who have a Trust wide role in providing specialist nursing knowledge, expertise and support to this patient group.
You should have proven post registration experience, some at band 6 level and evidence of relevant post-registration study. Experience of caring for patients with an illness that is not responsive to curative treatment is essential. You must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. An ability to organise and prioritise your own workload is essential.

To have continuing responsibility for the provision of specialist information and support for a Trust wide caseload of palliative care patients
To have continuing responsibility for the development of the palliative care nursing service to ensure that it meets national recommendations and directives for patients with an illness that is not responsive to curative
To have continuing responsibility for assisting in the development of Trust wide processes and systems for palliative and end of life care
To provide specialist palliative care knowledge, advice, information and education to patients, carers, health care professionals and relevant
To contribute toward the development and implementation of an educational programme across East Suffolk and North Essex Trust (ESNEFT).
