As a Healthcare support worker within the Ophthalmology casualty department at the western eye you will be responsible for supporting the wider team in ensuring that our patients have an excellent companionate and efficient time within our department

  • To assist and support the registered nurse, under supervision, with the delivery of direct patient care, with the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery
  • To improve the patient experience
  • At all times ensure that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery.
  • To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area as requested within the Western Eye Hospital
  • To assist with the delivery of Diagnostic tests for the patients
