Job summaryThis is an exciting time to join the cardiac ward in GOSH. We are proud of our service with a well-established team providing world-class, patient focused care.
Bear Ward is a 24 bedded cardiology ward, 8 of which are HDU beds. We care for children (neonatal -18 years), with a variety of complex cardiothoracic and cardiovascular conditions.
We have invested in clinical leadership and extensive education programmes to enhance skills development and knowledge, all supported by the practise education team.
As a Staff Nurse, you will have an option to rotate throughout our directorate, including respiratory wards and 3 ITU areas.
We are looking for highly motivated experienced Nurses who have excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit, for a full job description and personal specification visit our website.

Main duties of the job- To work as a skilled member of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic family centred care to the children, young people and families.
- Ability to promote family centred care and establish good relationships with children, young people and their families.

- To be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff following achievement of required competence.
