As part of the recruitment process for this post, candidates will be required to complete an online literacy and numeracy test and only if they pass this, will they be invited to a formal interview.



We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated HCA to join our CARE OF ELDERLY team. You will support this award winning team to effectively and creatively engage with our patient.



Your primary base will be Newham Hospital on Tayberry ward.


The post holder will work as a member of the nursing team under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse in Silvertown ward. They will undertake delegated personal care duties for patients / clients and will provide support for Nursing staff in maintaining a stable and safe clinical environment. They will assist in the running of the ward, working with indirect supervision from a Registered Nurse.


The HCA will work along the nursing and multi disciplinary team to provide good quality care to our frail elderly patient. Ability to manage challenging situation, follow policies and procedure and sensitively support the patient family with good communication skills.
