The job entails providing care for a young physically disabled man in Hove. Responsibilities include preparing meals, cleaning, and household tasks, supporting with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene as well as supporting to attend Doctor and Hospital appointments. You must be physically strong, well organized, friendly with a good sense of humour and have good communication skills. You should be proactive with a good attention to detail, emotionally resilient, calm under pressure, have very good hygiene standards and the ability to use your own initiative. Ideally you would have a background in health/fitness/physio and/or massage due to muscle constrictions in neck, shoulders and arms. It would be helpful if you are a capable cook and hold a valid UK drivers’ license (your own car is not necessary) but these are not essential for the right candidate. Full training can be provided for the right candidate.Pay rate £11.44p/h - Hours to be discussed in interview.
