We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic and forward thinking team within outpatient Women's Health. This role opens many opportunities to work alongside specialist nursing teams and clinicians covering Early Pregnancy, Colposcopy, Outpatient Hysteroscopy, Fertility, Endometriosis, Urogynaecology, Gynae Oncology, Perineal and General Gynaecology Clinics. You would be the right hand person to the clinicians and the friendly face to those in our care. The Women’s Services Health Care Assistant (HCA) undertakes an agreed range of tasks within the clinical areas of the women’s unit, gynaecology and fertility departments, whilst at all times working under the auspices of the nurses present within the department. The nurses will be responsible for all clinical tasks; whilst the HCA will be there to offer support to the clinician and the patient. The HCA will not always work under direct and immediate supervision but the task done must be within the framework of a care plan. The Women’s Services Health Care Assistant is expected to be an effective member of the team, and will provide support in a kind, considerate and professional manner to the woman in providing holistic care.

Please note, the successful candidate will be required for day shifts predominantly Monday to Friday with some weekends. Hours of work vary but are typically between 08.00 and 17.00. This role will be within women's health which includes our clinics at Purley Hospital.
